Easton Park Amenities Center
When I first met with Easton Park, they had just built an amenities center for their East Austin residential development. The 15,000-foot glass and steel building looked like a luxury resort, with a fitness center, bar, game area and infinity pool overlooking miles of parkland. While the space was intrinsically beautiful, they needed help with the last layer of detail and hired me to help make the rooms feel more welcoming, approachable, and reflective of Austin’s unique creative spirit.
Since the launch event for the space was only two weeks away, we decided to focus on things that could make an impact quickly. We created a display wall for the empty space above the record player and added accessories and plants to soften things. Later, we added more layers of furniture, books, accessories, and art for warmth and color.
We hand selected succulent plants and pots from a local nursery for the rolling shelves on the outdoor patio, creating an organic divider and living backdrop for the furniture.
